Broadband Internet Video Services
Serving Boston to northern
Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and Southern, NH Call Toll Free 877-787-7388 What it is: RussetVideo is a turnkey system complete with cameras including a
wireless link to a private 54 Mbps network or to the secure Russet network
The camera is an IP-networked camera system. Usually it is a high definition PTZ camera.
In each case, Russet supplies a high speed 54 mbps wireless link to the
Internet when in range of the wireless network.
A networked camera (computer imbedded in a camera) is the best system.
It is connected to a wireless modem that transmits to the Russet Communications LLC
network. The networked camera delivers speeds up to 40 frames per second.
RussetVideo makes available the wireless hardware and the camera
systems as rental units. Networked cameras are for the highest quality video
requirements and deliver the highest speed.
RussetVideo can be used at a permanent or temporary
location such as a remote event, trade shows, special surveillance, or
any place where remote video is required. Upload to a web page of your choice,
or use our web page to see "what's happening!".
The upload Internet speed is incredibly fast. It is ten times faster
than a cable modem, and 200 times faster than a dialup modem. RussetVideo
is a premium service because of speed and the flexibility to move
the camera system. The rental system places the technology into your hands
for short periods of time. You can make the system a permanent one.
RussetVideo is available as a short term rental that
includes a wireless modem and antenna. We have various price plans. We go
to your place that requires service, install the wireless unit and
antenna, hook it up to the Russet Communications LLC service (no charge), and you can
immediately use the service. It is very simple to set up. When you are
done, we take down the system.
RussetVideo can be used at wedding receptions, birthday parties,
trade shows, training sites, parades and events, remote monitoring of
scientific experiments, fishing expeditions, or any application where high speed
video over the Internet is needed. You can also store the video on your
own computer at work or at home for later playback!
You can store on a DVD or CD, too! The possibilities are endless.
Our wireless video application specialists are ready help you determine the suitable system.

RussetVideo supplied Networked camera is $250/day for the first day and $125 per day

one-time set-up charge of $125. There is also a refundable security deposit of
$350 if returned in the same condition it was delivered.
Long term rentals are considerd for over two days. The networked cameras
are available with different optics and styles. Please consult with our
sales department for longer term more specialized video applications.
A customer provided USB camera to a laptop computer with properly configured
software is lowest cost. The maximum distance for a USB camera is approximately
15 feet. These cameras produce usable rates of 5-10 frames per minute. The
receiving Internet connection should have a fast dialup connection or better.
The networked camera can be moved over a 100 meter range from the wireless
unit. The wireless unit is fixed in a location that provides an optimum link to
the Russet remote transmitters. We routinely install these systems
in vans or cars, and we provide the DC to AC that may be required.
Different antennas are also available depending on range, aesthetics, and
function. RussetVideo and Russet Communications LLC is not responsible for computer
reconfigurations or the operation of computers, but Russet can offer
technician support at our standard prevailing rates. Video applications
tend to use a lot of bandwidth. The frames/second rate actually supplied
varies according to network use. The application is intended for "after
business hours" or weekends where bandwidth is less in demand.
Like any video use over the Internet, the receiving
party must have an equally fast Internet connection to use the highest
speed service to match the transmitted speeds of RussetVideo.
We provide support to Windows-98, ME, NT, 2000
and XP on laptop and desktop computers. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are the
welcomed method of payment. Purchase Orders from companies are also
welcomed where extended service is contemplated. Who is eligible, and how to establish
service: Upgrade options: Place of business upgrade: There is no penalty
to upgrade wireless service at your place of business. You can take the
equipment and bring it to your place of business. In addition, a permanent
antenna is required to be in line of sight to any of our transmitters. We
will provide a free site survey, price out the antenna, and install the antenna system if the
survey has been successfully completed. The equipment supplied will allow
up to 253 computers to use the Internet. The service at your place of business is "scalable",
meaning from 144 kbps up to the full 11 Mbps service. Consult the current
rate plans and promotional offers at the time of placement of the service
order for service, antenna equipment and installation services. Because
video is a high bandwidth service, RussetVideo will work with you to
determine the bandwidth, resolution and refresh rate that is
cost effective for your business. Even Fire Departments
now acknowledge the benefits of hand-held IR systems for improved vision
in hazardous enviroments:
